We’re committed to teaching our patients that true health is a journey, not a destination. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.
You’re the Boss
Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. You’re the boss! It’s your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible in Westerville, make appropriate recommendations, and work together to achieve your goals.
Take the first step towards relief by calling Meritra Clinics today to discuss your health goals. Dr. Gillis accepts walk-in patients, no appointment necessary!
What to Expect
1. First Visit
You’ll find plenty of convenient parking and receive a friendly greeting each and every time you enter our office. We don’t like excessive paperwork anymore than you do, so we condensed everything. Once you have completed your new patient paperwork, (please download, print and fill out the Chiropractic Initial Appointment Form), you’ll soon meet with Dr. Gillis for a consultation/examination. Our patients appreciate when we explain everything in advance! It also helps keep our doctor/patient relationship as stress-free as possible. The purpose of your consultation/examination with Dr. Gillis is to discuss your health goals and see if Chiropractic care can help you. If it looks promising, and we accept you as a patient, a thorough examination with x-ray films will help us identify the cause of your problem. At Meritra Clinics, treatment always begins on your first visit! We try to respect your time and always appreciate your business, so we’ll do everything in our power to expedite your first visit (usually about 45 to 60 minutes maximum).
2. Regular Visit
Once you are accepted as a patient, all you have to do is return for your appointments and follow the Doctor’s recommendations. We know that Chiropractic works and your body will do a better job healing if we aim it in the right direction. Most of our patients experience symptom relief within 5-7 visits. As an established patient, a typical office visit should take approximately twenty minutes from beginning to end. Simply sign yourself in with the receptionist at the front desk, we’ll take you back immediately to begin your therapies; then Dr. Gillis will treat you and you’re on your way!
